I’m a wife, mama, and the full-time photographer behind Salt + Light Co.! What started as a quiet dream has grown into a business rooted in faith and a love for capturing the moments that mean the most. I’m so grateful this work allows me to connect with others, explore new places, and spend more time with my daughter as she grows.
My family is such a big part of why I love what I do. Being a mama has shown me how quickly life changes and how much the little things matter—the tiny hands, tight hugs, and everyday moments you wish you could hold onto forever. Those are the memories I treasure in my own life, and I love helping you preserve them in yours.
When I’m not photographing those moments, you can usually find me chasing my toddler and our dogs, golfing with my husband, sipping something caffeinated, or dreaming about my future flower garden. I love Jesus, a good sunset, and meaningful conversations—so don’t be surprised if we spend part of your session chatting like old friends!
Whether I’m capturing your family, your wedding day, or a milestone in your business, I want you to feel comfortable, cared for, and free to be yourself. We can keep things close to home in Central Iowa, meet at my downtown Des Moines studio, or head somewhere meaningful to you. I’m always up for an adventure!

My approach
I want your time in front of my camera to feel relaxed, fun, and full of moments you’ll love looking back on. Whether we’re capturing your family, celebrating your wedding day, or exploring somewhere new, I’ll guide you along the way so you can settle in and enjoy it all.
We’ll capture those beautiful smiling-at-the-camera photos, but we’ll also leave room for laughter, tight hugs, and the little moments that unfold on their own. You don’t have to know how to pose or have everything go perfectly—just come as you are and let me take care of the rest.
